The venue has also a small outdoor patio where you can smoke. A busy and bustling atmosphere for a place who have seen better and trendier days with more glamorous and beautiful people than the crowd who frequents nowadays. We were there on a Friday night and the place was packed with all sorts of people. More and more gay places in South Miami are becoming mixed venues, and as usual the gay ones are the most interesting to go. This is the only place with a go-go muscle boy hustle bar which has become not only an attraction for moneyed gay man but also a curiosity for women. They have a bar lounge at the entrance, but then the building splits in several rooms offering different sorts of music, including Hip-Hop and Latin dance. Twist is sadly the only regular venue that stands remaining pretty much the same as it ever was. Le Cud Great nightclub close to the Centre Pompidou / Forum Les Halles. Sadly the gay life scene in South Beach is fast fading away, with less and less places to go. But Miami is best known for its intense gay nightlife hot spots are the cruisy Palace Bar and Grill, and the unforgettable Twist on South Beach. Twist has been in South Beach since I started visiting the place in the early 90´s.
